part 2: i was up to my eyeballs in pink sawdust. i sanded just about everything down to give it that weathered old timey look. it’s also easier to play. still debating sanding the back. that’s my favorite part and i don’t want to ruin it. i also finally got the last of the parts today so i can start putting everything on tomorrow after a few tweaks.

day 1: okay so this is my new project before i go back to school. i bought this guitar for $15 at a tag sale coming back from the beach this afternoon spur of the moment kind of thing. it was in rough shape (bad strings, strung wrong, dents, scratches, broken nut and bridge, rusted keys) so i took everything off and as you can see i put it in even rougher shape. taking the bridge off may have been more difficult than child birth and i scratched the entire face in the process and broke an xacto knife which i didn’t think was possible. i got all new parts for it but used a gift card because i wasn’t very keen on spending more money on parts than the guitar itself. but tomorrow i plan on starting sanding while i wait for the new parts and i’ll keep updating.
